Welcome to Indivisible New Rochelle!

Since starting as a "living room meeting" in February 2017, Indivisible New Rochelle has grown from a dozen members to a mailing list of over 600. This group was founded on the practical principles outlined in the Indivisible Guide, which put the focus on taking back democracy at the local level. Our members represent the diverse community that is New Rochelle. Indivisible is a grassroots movement where members join at a level and in a manner that makes sense for each of us. Joining our group implies no commitment of time or resources on your part, just a shared vision.

The following resources will help you get oriented to Indivisible from the national level to our own Indivisible New Rochelle.

  • Indivisible at the National level:  Our group is one of several thousand across the nation to resist the Trump agenda and to hold elected officials accountable to us, the voters that envision an inclusive, progressive America.

    • The Indivisible Guide  will orient you to the Indivisible platform.

    • This map  shows you how strong Indivisible is across the country.  There are at least 2 Indivisible groups in every Congressional District in the US.

  • Westchester Indivisible Groups: We are one of several Indivisible groups in Westchester County, NY. We maintain collaborative relationships with the other Indivisible groups in Westchester County, such as NYCD-16 Invisible, Indivisible Westchester, Larchmont/Mamaroneck Indivisible, Indivisible Scarsdale, Mount Vernon Pelham Indivisible and Indivisible White Plains

  • Indivisible New Rochelle:  Our group is committed to upholding democracy at the local, state and national level.  We welcome collaboration with parters on policy issues and related actions.

  • Immigrant Rights

  • Climate Action

  • Legislative Advocacy

  • Women's Team

  • Education

Our teams are adaptive and evolve as needs change.  Please email us if you are interested in joining or learning more about one of our teams. Or better yet, join us for a meeting where you can speak with the team leader.

Sharing information and staying in touch is at the heart of what we do. These are a few of the most common ways we regularly stay in touch with members:

  • Monthly meetings:  We meet monthly -- since the pandemic, our meetings meetings are via Zoom

  • Email:  We maintain an active email list.  You will receive notifications of our general meetings, actions, newsletters on key topics and actions, and events to attend.  You will also receive emails from the teams you are interested in. Of course, you can opt out of our emails if you do not wish to receive them.

  • Facebook:  Our Indivisible New Rochelle Facebook community is closed to ensure safe communications.  We share events, reactions, news, and community.  Please visit our private Facebook Group and request membership. This is where we post ad hoc events and actions.

  • Website: We update content on this website regularly - and use this space to collaborate in teams as well.
